Makes me woozy.... X-Rays from the day of the crash and now just shy of four weeks later.

Yep, I took the rite of passage and broke my collarbone 17 miles into the race. It freakin' still hurts and it has been two and a half weeks!

Sometimes Christmas comes early! We got a new puppy, well dog. His name is Poncho Villa and he is a Blue Heeler (aka Australian Cattle Dog) mix. I had met Poncho once or twice some time ago and the previous owner is a friend. I found out last week that they had taken him to a shelter because he was eating their chickens. So I had to grab him up. He is a beautiful dog and so far well behaved.

Final part to finish off my RDO. It's ready for next season!

Checking out the race course for the Palmer Park 50. Gnarly to say the least. I didn't get photos of the super gnarly parts because I was focusing on not breaking any bones or my bike. I think I'll let others enjoy this race and I'll sit this one out.

I started the race with an ear ache and a sore throat and possibly a bit of a fever, probably bad judgement on my part but I had driven a really long way and wanted to race so I lined up anyway.

I had a different rig on order, but the more I researched and the more I thought about it I realized I could get a higher quality system at a lower price and still be very close in weight. So here it is, a Niner Jet 9 (2010 frame). With race wheels it will come in close to 23 lbs, only 1/2 lbs more than my original plan. With a bit more research and finding some special parts I may be able to get it below 23 lbs and it will still cost less than the prodeal I had on order.

First race with some of the 2011 team guys. We did the 4 man just for fun category and pulled in a second place. I was the slow poke, sketched out on the rocks in the dark with a malfunctioning suspension fork.

A last minute post season race down in Palo Duro Canyon in Texas. It was a fun race course and quite a bit different than I was used to. I headed down with 2011 teammate Bill, Les, and Bryan. While down there I got to meet a Facebook friend Heidi.
